I’m making some little videos with my phone.

I bought my first Bill Callahan record a few years ago just because I liked the album art. He’s the best.

Though, I disagreed with some of what he had to say, I enjoyed this interview with Roger Ballen. Ballen’s best work is haunting, unique and beautiful. More musicians than photographers come to mind when I think of comparisons. However, I wouldn’t be surprised to hear that he was taken with Weston’s dune portraits.

Great.

Always on my mind week, Palace Music (Will Oldham)

I got to hear the most beautiful rendition of this song a couple of months ago when Bonnie “Prince” Billy and the Cairo Gang passed through town. Not to say that I don’t love this version as well.

I’ve been thinking about this picture by Edward Weston so much lately.

Failure can be more interesting than success.
